Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

What You Will Work On

• Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities within power system and substation projects
• Design and develop solutions related to high-voltage substations and electrical infrastructure
• Perform engineering studies, technical analyses, and design evaluations
• Support planning, design, and modification of equipment, systems, and installations
• Coordinate activities across engineering disciplines and project teams
• Develop cable routing, lightning protection, and primary equipment design solutions
• Contribute to steel structure and support system design activities
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and project requirements
• Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges throughout project execution
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance activities
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
• Contribute to domestic and international engineering projects

What You Bring

• B.Sc.
  or M.Sc.
  in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering experience, including leadership or coordination responsibilities
• Alternatively, another technical degree combined with 15+ years of relevant industry experience
• Proven experience within high-voltage power systems, substations, or medium/high-voltage switchgear environments
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles within energy infrastructure projects
• Experience coordinating engineering activities across multiple disciplines
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards such as EN and IEC
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and drive engineering activities forward
• Fluent English communication skills, written and spoken
• Good verbal and written Swedish communication skills
