Thanks to lead-cooling, we achieve high safety in a very compact format, allowing for a simple and cost-effective design that can be mass-produced.

What you’ll get to do
As a Rotating Machine Lead Engineer, you will own the rotating equipment portfolio of the SEALER plant — from the Primary Coolant Pumps (PCPs) submerged in molten lead above 400 °C, where conventional bearing and sealing solutions don't apply, to the secondary-side feedwater and condensate pumps and the full set of auxiliary and safety-related pumps the plant requires.
It is a technically demanding portfolio that spans genuinely novel engineering on the primary side and rigorous nuclear-grade discipline throughout:

The Rotating Machine Lead Engineer sits in the Fluid Systems Engineering Team within Blykalla, and reports to the Manager of Fluids Engineering.
