We are looking for a commercially driven Category Manager to take ownership of our Tax Free LTC categories (wine, spirits, tobacco, confectionery and related lines) across both vessels.
You will be responsible for maximising onboard sales performance, building strong supplier relationships and ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right price for our guests.

The role

This is an operational role that combines category strategy, supplier negotiation and data analysis with close, everyday collaboration.
You will work hand in hand with the teams onboard and across the wider commercial organisation, and as part of that team you will own the commercial result of your categories and have a direct influence on guest satisfaction and the bottom line.

Key responsibilities
  • Own the commercial performance of the LTC categories (wine, spirits, tobacco, confectionery and adjacent lines), with full responsibility for sales optimisation onboard both vessels.
  • Develop and execute category strategies that grow revenue, margin and sales per passenger (SPP).
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing, promotional support and listing terms to secure the best possible commercial outcome.
  • Plan and manage the promotional calendar and campaigns, and ensure all related master data is created and updated accurately and on time.
  • Maintain product master data, assortment and pricing across the relevant systems.
  • Align closely with the shop teams onboard and with vessel and shop management on assortment, layout, stock levels and campaign execution.
  • Build and own the category budget for the coming years, track performance against it and report on results.
  • Analyse sales, margin and inventory data to identify opportunities and act on them.
  • Monitor the market, suppliers and competitors, and bring in industry insight on new and trending products to keep the assortment fresh and competitive.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from listing through to delisting, including range reviews and space planning.
  • Work cross functionally with operations, supply chain, finance and the wider commercial team to deliver category plans.
What we are looking for
  • Proven experience in category management or buying, ideally within travel retail, tax free, FMCG or a related retail environment.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills with a track record of delivering sales and margin growth.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into clear decisions and actions.
  • Confident working with suppliers, internal stakeholders and onboard teams.
  • Self starter who can own a category end to end and work independently.
  • Comfortable working in a fast moving operational environment.
  • Fluent in English; Scandinavian language skills are an advantage.
Great to have
  • Experience with LS Retail.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of the LTC product categories and the travel retail market.
